CURRENT SINGLE: “It’s Cause I Am”
Callista Clark is doing a lot of traveling around the country, playing shows and promoting her debut single, “It’s Cause I Am,” but it’s also giving her a chance to visit parts of the country that are a lot bigger and much different from her hometown. “I am from a very small town in Georgia. It’s called Zebulon. There’s about 1200 people, and that is it.”
To put that into perspective, the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville holds just under 2,400 people, which means everybody in Callista’s hometown could all bring a plus one and see a show there. Plus, it’s not like people from around the country are moving to Zebulon. According to Callista, “I grew up here and my parents grew up here and their parents grew up here.”
One way Callista filled her time while growing up in Zebulon was singing. “I grew up singing in church,” she says. “It’s a very small church that my granddad is the pastor of, and I grew up singing with my siblings. And so, I’ve been singing ever since I could talk, and we would do three part harmony together and everything like that. So, I grew up in a very musical family.”
And now, all of that singing has given Callista the opportunity to see the world and find out what life is like outside of Zebulon, Georgia.
