CURRENT SINGLE: “Long Live”
Tyler Hubbard of FGL and his wife Hayley welcomed their third child, Atlas, into the world in September, and while they’re loving being a family of five, with three children ages 3, 17 months and 4 months old, to say their household is busy would be an understatement. Tyler says going from two kids to three kids hasn’t been that much different, “because at this point, Atlas is still kinda just sleepin’ and poopin’ and eatin’ and he can’t move around.”
His older brother on the other hand, is a handful. “Luca is literally a full-time job for one person,” says Tyler. “If you take your eyes off him for 30 seconds, he’s about to roll down the stairs or get into the oven or do something.”
The Hubbards are lucky to have a part-time nanny who is a huge help, but he says, “Even with extra hands, a lot of time it’s all hands on deck with three kids. Somebody’s feedin’ Atlas, somebody’s chasin’ Luca and somebody’s entertainin’ Liv at all times. Or, there’s only two and somebody’s havin’ to double fist, if you will. But it’s fun and it’s a challenge that we really, really enjoy.”
Having three kids so young has its challenges, but Tyler is glad they are all so close in age. He says, “These are some tough years, but havin’ ‘em close together is gonna be a lot of fun. It already is.”
Things will probably be a little easier for Tyler when he fully heals from his broken ankle and isn’t hobbling around. With two fully functioning feet, he might be able to keep up with Luca.
Florida Georgia Line – TH 3 kids now :45
“It’s been a difference, but not drastic. Not like super crazy because at this point, Atlas is still kinda just sleepin’ and poopin’ and eatin’ and he can’t move around. Luca is literally a full-time job for one person. If you take your eyes off him for 30 seconds, he’s about to roll down the stairs or get into the oven or do something. So, it really is a two-person job minimum, and if I could have it my way it would be a three-person job all the time. We’re really fortunate. We do have a great nanny that helps us out quite a bit, but even with extra hands, a lot of time it’s all hands on deck with three kids. Somebody’s feedin’ Atlas, somebody’s chasin’ Luca and somebody’s entertainin’ Liv at all times. Or, there’s only two and somebody’s havin’ to double fist, if you will. But it’s fun and it’s a challenge that we really, really enjoy. And these are some tough years, but havin’ ‘em close together is gonna be a lot of fun. It already is.”
