CURRENT SINGLE: “We Didn’t Have Much”
A lot of parents aren’t sure how or if they’re going to be celebrating Halloween in 2020 because of the pandemic, but Justin Moore feels like his four kids will celebrate pretty much the same way they do every year. They live out in the country in Justin’s hometown of Poyen (pronounced POH-en), Arkansas, population 290, and Justin says, “Where we’re from, it’s not the typical Halloween that most kids, I guess, have anyway. We drive them around cause we don’t live in a neighborhood. We drive ‘em to the people who we know, like my aunts and uncles and my parents and, you know, our family, our pastor.”
Besides being driven by the houses of family and friends, Justin says for Halloween in Poyen, “Usually we have a church hayride, so I’m sure it probably won’t change much for us. We’re kind of in our own little bubble in a sense in our town, and really the surrounding communities. So, I have a hard time believing Halloween for us will change that much.”
But Justin knows that unfortunately for a lot of kids, their Halloween celebrations will be impacted or possibly cancelled, and he says, “I feel for those out there who it will, especially the kiddos.”
