CURRENT SINGLE: “We Didn’t Have Much”
Justin Moore’s latest single, “We Didn’t Have Much” is about a simpler time in life when we didn’t have much but we still had it all, and Justin says, “I think this window of time has kind of shed light on that for me. And I know talkin’ to some other artists on our podcast, the same kinda is true, kinda simplifying our lives.”
The pandemic has caused a lot of people to slow down and appreciate the simple things in life, like spending quality time with family and DIYing things at home to stay busy. For instance, Justin says, “I’m buildin’ a chicken coop right now. We’ll have our own fresh eggs. We planted a garden, which is fun for the kids and lesson teaching, if you will. If you put work into something, you’ll get something in return. Relying on your neighbors. I mean, this is all cliché, cheesy kinda soundin’ stuff, but it’s true and it kinda has been our life over the last months.”
All of that is basically what Justin is singing about in “We Didn’t Have Much,” and he says, “I think a lot of people maybe have had the same experience over this window of time as I have.”
