Lady Antebellum has been a successful band in country music for over 14 years, and while a lot of musical duos, trios and groups have come and gone in that 14 years, Hillary Scott believes the key to Lady A’s longevity is the foundation upon which the band was built. She says, “We just really respect what we’ve built and who we’ve built it with, and that what we have (together) is so much more than the sum of its parts.”
Hillary also credits the bands incredibly strong support system for helping them stay the course. She says, “I think there’s just seasons of life, like when you go through hard times, no matter if it’s personal, career, or whatever, where the people around you just have to hope for you cause you have a hard time finding it yourself. And I think there were some definite moments of that, of like other people looking and saying, ‘This is special. Remember this. Think about all of the different things.’” And she says, “It’s so beautiful how our community and our team and our friends and family just rallied around us through that and hoped for us.”
Lady Antebellum’s new single, “Champagne Night,” just started its climb up the charts. The song is the one the band chose to record when they were special guests on NBC’s Songland.

Hillary Scott – “I think the foundation is we just really respect what we’ve built and who we’ve built it with, and that what we have is so much more than the sum of its parts, you know, as a band. And I think there’s just seasons of life, like when you go through hard times, no matter if it’s personal, career, or whatever, where the people around you just have to hope for you cause you have a hard time finding it yourself. And I think there were some definite moments of that, of like other people looking and saying, ‘This is special. Remember this. Think about all of the different things.’ And that’s just good to do in life in general, when you’re just in a time of just struggling to understand why things happen. And it’s so beautiful how our community and our team and our friends and family just rallied around us through that and hoped for us.”
