Craig Wayne Boyd just finished his gig as the opening act for Rascal Flatts during their Las Vegas residency, and he reveals just getting the invitation to open for them was incredible because their music was a big part of his move to Nashville. Craig says, “I was beside myself because those guys had a song out when I first moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and I believe I had it on repeat from the time I hit the Texas border, all the way to the Tennessee border, and it was ‘I’m Movin’ On’. And that was one of those songs that helped me get through a place that I was at in my life, and to now have those guys be the ones that are helping me catapult my career, when they were the ones that encouraged me to do it via their songs anyways, is pretty mind blowin’.”

During his opening slot, Craig had a chance to introduce some of Rascal Flatts’ fans to his music, including his debut single, “My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face.”

Craig Wayne Boyd wrapped up his Las Vegas stint with Rascal Flatts over the weekend (3/14) at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Craig plays a few radio station shows this week as he chats up his new radio single in Seattle and North Carolina. He’s still working on his debut album for Dot Records.
