Tara Thompson’s debut single is a sassy song called “Someone to Take Your Place,” about a woman who isn’t wasting any time being sad over a break-up. The song definitely has the possibility of inspiring other women who’ve been through a break-up to not let it get them down, and Tara loves that idea. She says, “I would love to have hopes to inspire women to not let a break up bring them down because why waste your time crying over someone who doesn’t want to be with you? As forward as that sounds, you’re just wasting your time being sad on someone who ain’t sad about you. And, you know, it’s always fun to find someone to take his place, right?”
Tara is currently working on her debut album and is out on the CMT Next Women of Country Tour with Jennifer Nettles, Brandy Clark and Lindsey Ell.
