(AUDIO) The Band Perry’s Kimberly Loves The Irony Of “Chainsaw”

When you first hear The Band Perry’s latest single, “Chainsaw,” it sounds like a sweet love song about a couple going out to carve their initials as a symbol of love into a tree. Kimberly Perry says that’s why she loves the song and was drawn to record it because it’s a bit deceptive. Neil says it sounds “romantic.” Kimberly laughs and says, “Yeah, until you get to the chorus when they chop that sucker down, and I just think it’s so funny and ironic.”

Although “Chainsaw” is sung from a woman’s perspective, Kimberly is sure there are plenty of men who can relate to the song as well.
