Rather than staging their own headlining tour this summer, Florida Georgia Line will be joining Kenny Chesney on the Chillaxification Stadium Tour with Old Dominion, and for BK (Brian Kelley) and Tyler Hubbard, touring with Kenny is a massive milestone in their career. “[B]eing asked to go on tour with Chesney was a bucket list moment for us, no doubt,” says BK. “I mean, we both grew up listening to Kenny, you know, as kids, and obviously he’s a legend but still doing it at a great level, at a high level.”
Florida Georgia Line have been friends with Kenny and observing the way he runs his touring career and his business for a long time, and BK says, “He’s somebody that we’ve been learning from (and) we wanna learn more from. He’s been doing stadiums for like 15 or 20 years, which is crazy when you think about it.”
The Chillaxification Tour will kick off on April 18 and play 21 stadiums through August 29th. You can check FloridaGeorgiaLine.com for more detaiLs.
In the meantime, Florida Georgia Line is currently in the Bahamas, where they are spending ten days recording their fifth album, while their current single, “Blessings” is in the top 30 and continues to move up the charts.
