(AUDIO) TIM McGRAW CELEBRATES ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS HE’S EVER MADE

CURRENT SINGLE – “7500 OBO”

This week marks the sixth anniversary of Tim McGraw’s 14th studio album, Damn Country Music, which he released on November 6, 2015.  It was Tim’s third album with the Big Machine Label Group, and at the time he said, “I think it’s the best record I’ve ever made. I think it’s a great bunch of songs. There’s songs that certainly push the envelope and have a real modern sound to ‘em, like ‘Top of the World,’ ‘Love Runs,’ ‘Losing You,’ stuff like that. And there’s some things that are reminiscent of what made me love country music and what I loved when I moved to town, stuff like ‘How I’ll Always Be,’ ‘Damn Country Music,’ ‘Don’t Make Me Feel at Home.’”

Damn Country Music also featured one of the biggest songs of Tim’s career, and one of the most special.  When summing up the songs fans would hear on Damn Country Music, Tim said, “There’s great songs that have sort of life lessons and tell stories, like one of my favorite records I’ve ever made probably in my career, ‘Humble and Kind.’”

Incidentally, “Humble and Kind” went on to be named Best Country Song at the Grammy Awards, Song of the Year at the CMA Awards, Country Song of the Year at the American Music Awards and Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards.
