This is a big year for Tim McGraw as a dad, because all three of his daughters, Gracie, Maggie and Audrey are all officially adults, with his youngest daughter, Audrie, having turned 18 back in December, and graduating from high school this year. Tim is proud that all of his daughters still hold onto a lot of the life lessons he and Faith Hill taught them growing up, from the big lessons, like always be kind, to the smaller ones, like always have respect for your elders. In fact, Tim recently shared, “We were talking to Gracie last night and she had her friend at her house, and she had met her friend’s parents, and she called her parents ‘yes ma’am and no ma’am, and yes sir and no sir.’”
The friend’s parents told Gracie she didn’t need to use ma’am and sir with them, but according to Tim, “Gracie says, ‘Look, I can feel my mom yelling at me from across the country if I don’t say yes ma’am or no ma’am, and yes sir or no sir.’ She was laughing about that. That’s something to us, where we grew up, it shows respect, and it’s nice to see our kids still do that.”
Tim, whose new single, “I Called Mama,” is racing up the charts, already sitting in the top 20, knocks on wood and says, “We got three daughters and they’re all just really super, special good kids.”
