Before Cassadee Pope started making her living in the country music business, she had a lot of respect for her fellow female artists, but now that she sees been in the business for a while and she sees the challenges that women tend to face, she has an even deeper respect and admiration for people like Faith Hill, Martina McBride and Reba. Cassadee says, “I have just a huge amount of respect for any female that’s broken through Country music. It was very hard for a while there. I think it’s starting to change, which is exciting. But, one of the things that I got to do, when I was on tour with Tim McGraw, is I got to talk to Faith Hill, and she was talking to me about how even when she was in her prime and she was on the top of her game she still had to work really hard to get her songs played on the radio. So, I know that that’s never gonna change, and I know that that’s just a part of the job description.”
Cassadee admits that she’s almost glad that she knows she’s always going to have to work hard to be successful in country music. “It kind of makes me relieved, almost like, I don’t have to know that point when I don’t have to work hard anymore, because I’m just gonna have to work for the rest of my career, and I love that,” she says. “I’m happiest when I’m busy and out on the road and striving to be better.”
Cassadee is putting in the hard work now to promote her latest single, “Invincible,” off her upcoming sophomore album.

“It does. I have just a huge amount of respect for any female that’s broken through Country music. It was very hard for a while there. I think it’s starting to change, which is exciting. I’m happiest when I’m busy and out on the road and striving to be better. So, yeah, I respect those women a ton.”
