Eli Young Band has enjoyed their fair share of success in the music business, but they say even now, they still feel the pressure to grow and get better and do well. Mike Eli says, “We’ve always felt the pressure of trying to get to that next point and making the right decisions but the pressure’s a little bit heavier now. But then at the same time it’s like just a different kind of pressure I guess. You want to keep having the success and always feel like you’re making bigger steps.”
Fortunately, the guys don’t have to make all of their career decisions on their own. Jon Jones says, “The decisions we make I feel like they’re really spread out between a lot of people that we trust. And so I think there’s a lot of people we can turn to when we’re making those decisions who we’ve really come to trust and help steer us in the right direction.”
Mike jokes that not only can they turn to those people to help make important decisions, but they can also blame them when they make the wrong decisions.”
Eli Young Band recently released their new EP, Turn It On, with the title track being their latest single. They’re currently working on their next full studio album.
