(AUDIO) Tim McGraw Is Grateful For His Duet Partners

Tim McGraw is at a point in his career where he could probably reach out to any of his famous friends to do a collaboration and they’d say yes, and he thinks that’s pretty cool. He says, “I love being an artist, and I love being an artist who can call these guys and be able to sing with great people like that. I mean, to be in a place where you can call somebody and they say, ‘Yeah, I’ll sing that song with you.’ I mean, how cool is that?”

Tim’s duet partner on his latest song, “Diamond Rings and Old Barstools,” is special to him because it’s his cousin, Clare Dunn. Whether it’s family or one of his famous friends, Tim says, “It’s like I’m being a kid, you know, to ask your favorite artist to be able to sing with you and they will.”

I mean, to be able to do that, (to) be in a place where you can call somebody and they’ll sing with you – I mean, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban played guitar, I mean, my wife, and to have people say, ‘Yeah, I’ll sing that song with you.’ I mean, how cool is that? It’s like I’m being a kid, you know, to ask your favorite artist to be able to sing with you and they will.”
