Maddie & Tae are only 19 years old, but already they have a catalog of over 200 songs that they have written together. While that seems like a lot, Maddie Marlowe says, “Well we’ve been together since we were fifteen and writing songs since then. So we’ve been together for five years.”

Tae Dye says once they started writing together, they didn’t stop. “Like every day of the week we would write and that’s kind of how we really developed our method and our artistry. So, that was a really special time for us, ‘cause for a period of like two years we would write every single day.”

The girls wrote or co-wrote every song on their debut album, Start Here, including their latest single, “Fly.” The album will be available on June 2nd.

Maddie & Tae sit at number 28 this week on Media Base with their new single “Fly.” The duo’s next tour date is on May 22 at a Tree Town Festival in Forrest City, Iowa.
