Jay DeMarcus won’t have much time for acting projects when Rascal Flatts kicks off their Riot Tour, named after their latest single, on May 29th, but when the band’s schedule does permit, acting is something he enjoys and says, “I’ve loved it most of my life.”
Most recently, Jay was a guest on ABC’s Nashville and the TV show Drop Dead Diva, and he says, “When we were first starting out, Rascal Flatts didn’t have a whole lot a time to do other side projects, but now as time has been permitted, it’s something that I enjoy being a part of, doing as much as I can.”
If Jay could hand pick any type of role for himself he says, “My dream roll … would be probably Chandler on Friends. If I could find a roll like that I think I’d hit the jackpot.”
Perhaps Jay will have some time to read some scripts and find his next acting role while Rascal Flatts is rolling across the country on tour this summer.

Rascal Flatts – Jay dream acting role :25
“I do enjoy acting a lot, I’ve loved it most of my life. When we were first starting out, Rascal Flatts didn’t have a whole lot a time to do other side projects, but now as time has been permitted, it’s something that I enjoy being a part of. Doing as much as I can and my dream roll, if I could pick or choose anything, would be probably Chandler on Friends. If I could find a roll like that I think I’d hit the jackpot.”
