(AUDIO) Tim McGraw Gets A Little Closer With His Fans On Tour

When Tim McGraw was growing up in Louisiana, he didn’t get a chance to go to many concerts, so now that he’s the one on the stage he loves to make the concert-going experience special for his fans by giving them a chance to upgrade their seats to the front row. Fans can text from their seats for the chance to win ticket upgrades and Tim says, “To be close and to experience it and to sort of feel the energy that comes off the stage… You know we try to project that energy to the further sections of anybody that’s out there (and) we hope that we do that, but there’s just something about being up really close and just really seeing the guitar player’s fingers on the strings or something that’s just… It’s a concert event an emotion that you can’t get from any other event.”

So if you’re planning to see Tim McGraw on The Shotgun Rider Tour this summer, be sure to check out the video screens for instructions on how you can text in to win front row ticket upgrades and you could be front and center watching him sing his current single, “Diamond Rings and Old Barstools,” and a lot of his hits.

Tim McGraw – up close on tour :32
“I didn’t get to go to a lot of concerts growing up. You know I lived right outside of Monroe (Louisiana) so I didn’t see a ton of shows. I can count on probably one hand the shows that I saw growing up. To be close and to experience it and to sort of feel the energy that comes off the stage… You know we try to project that energy to the further sections of anybody that’s out there (and) we hope that we do that, but there’s just something about being up really close and just really seeing the guitar player’s fingers on the strings or something that’s just… It’s a concert event an emotion that you can’t get from any other event.”
