Eli Young Band’s latest EP, Turn It On, is also the name of their latest single, and Jon Jones says when it came to recording the EP, “I think the vision, or goal, was just something fresh and new. When we wrote these four songs in particular, and a whole batch of songs around them, felt like there was kind of a new vibe that was developing, and the goal was really just to capture that in a way that sounded kinda like the next step of the band.”
Jon hopes Eli Young Band will continue to expand on that new vibe and that new sound as they work on new music, whether for another EP or a full-length album. He says, I hope that everybody who listens to the songs digs it, or at least finds something for themselves in that, and hopefully we can continue, you know, hone in exactly what’s working, what’s not, for the next project.”

Eli Young Band – goal with new EP :33
Jon Jones – “I think the vision, or goal, was just something fresh and new. When we wrote these four songs in particular, and a whole batch of songs around them, felt like there was kind of a new vibe that was developing, and the goal was really just to capture that in a way that sounded kinda like the next step of the band. So, and I hope that that continues. I hope that everybody who listens to the songs digs it, or at least finds something for themselves in that, and hopefully we can continue, you know, hone in exactly what’s working, what’s not, for the next project, be it another EP or a full-length album.”
