Rascal Flatts is spending the summer on the road on their Riot! Tour and they hope to have their families join them from time to time. While Jay DeMarcus would love to have his kids with him all the time, he says, “My kids are a bit young still, to come out on the road a lot. They’ll come out a couple times a year, but it’s really difficult for them to sleep on the bus and sort a get into a routine and a pattern there. So, it makes for a really long weekend when they’re on the road, but we do take ‘em a couple times a year.”

Jay is hopeful his kids will be able to come out on the road more as they get older because he says, “It’s harder and harder to leave them each time I leave the house now, it’s just a complete meltdown. So, it’s gonna be nice as they grow up a little bit to bring them out more and more.”

But, it’s really, really important for me to continue, as they get older, to have them with me because it’s harder and harder to leave them each time I leave the house now, it’s just a complete meltdown. So, it’s gonna be nice as they grow up a little bit to bring them out more and more.”
