A Thousand Horses chose to name their debut album Southernality, which is a hybrid of the words Southern and personality. As far as what represents Southernality, lead singer Michael Hobby says, “Being from South Carolina and Georgia, all of us, that laid back lifestyle, the sweet tea, the yes sir, yes ma’am type mentality. I mean, we’re all pretty laid back guys and we just like to kick back and have everybody be happy and everybody have a good time and that’s kind of our southern personality … So, it’s just kinda that way of life.”
Southernality features A Thousand Horses first #1 song, “Smoke,” and their brand new single, “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial.”
