(AUDIO) Tim McGraw’s SUNDOWN HEAVEN TOWN Album Will Help Dictate Next Album

Tim McGraw has said he is working on the follow-up to his Shotgun Rider album, and while the new project hasn’t fully taken shape yet, Tim says the new album will be guided by some of the music on his current album. “I think sonically, in a lot of ways, every record sort of generates what the next record’s gonna be, and there’s always a couple a songs, and I don’t really know what those songs are gonna be until I start the next project, but there’s always a couple a songs that lead into the next project.”

Tim says the sound of “Two Lanes of Freedom” and “Friend of a Friend” from his previous album impacted the sound of his Shotgun Rider album. While he isn’t certain which songs from his current album will impact the next one, he knows that as he begins the recording process, the influences will become more apparent.

For now, Tim is having to work on his next album in between dates on his Shotgun Rider Tour, plus filming the new movie The Shack, and producing the new TNT series, Robbers.
