(AUDIO) Ronnie Dunn’s New Single Produced By Jay DeMarcus Of Rascal Flatts

You won’t find Ronnie Dunn on tour right now; instead he’s in the studio finishing his new album. While he’s concentrating on that, fans are glad to hear him back on the radio with his new single, “Ain’t No Trucks In Texas.”

With 23-#1’s to his credit, he’s used to working with a handful of producers that he’s familiar with, but Ronnie says when he started listening to songs for this album, Jay Demarcus’ name came up as a possible producer. He knew Jay, but hadn’t worked in the studio with him. At first he thought “Well that’s interesting, and just moved on.” Then when he heard some tracks that Jay was working on…things started falling into place.

There are 2 other producers working on the album, but the Rascal Flatts’ bassist is credited with the first single…

Ronnie Dunn – About Jay DeMarcus :13
“I took it to Jay, kinda on a trial basis. I think he was trying me out, I was trying him out. And he killed it, just killed it! I think we were both holding back, ya know, kinda like show me what you got, show me what YOU got. And sure enough it’s worked out great.”
