Maddie & Tae will release their debut album, Start Here, this Friday. The girls, who both turn 20 this year, have been working on this album since they were young teenagers, and Maddie Marlow says, “I hope that Start Here allows our fans to walk away with a very positive mindset, in that these songs on this record are very uplifting to them, because we put together a piece of artwork that was uplifting and empowering and positive. So, we hope that they know who we are and they can relate to the stories and the songs that we’ve chosen for this record.”
Tae Dye also wants fans to know that Start Here is definitely a true representation of them as people and performers. She says, “I want them to know that we are always going to stay true to ourselves because we want them to listen to our songs, or maybe come see us live, and see our hearts. We want them to see who we really are, and we’re never gonna put up a front, and we’re never gonna pretend to be someone that they’re not, so I hope that they always see the real us and love us for that.”
In addition to their current single, “Fly,” Start Here also features Maddie & Tae’s Platinum-selling #1 debut single, “Girl in a Country Song.”

Maddie & Tae are playing some dates on the Dierks Bentley tour this week in Texas. The duo releases their debut album Start Here on Friday (8/28). On September 1, the girls will perform on NBC’s Today Show Summer Concert Series.
