Often times people try to put country music into boxes or categories like pop country, southern rock country, traditional country, etc., but Florida Georgia Line says they aren’t interested in labels or trying to fit into any particular box with their music. “Our music is just who we are,” says Tyler Hubbard. “It’s a culmination of all of our influences. Growin’ up we actually both had very, very similar tastes in music and very similar influences, and they were kinda all over the map and somethin’ that a lot a people don’t understand, but we listen to everything.”
That wide spectrum of music they grew up listening to often comes through in their songwriting. Tyler says, “That kind a gives us the creative freedom to write whatever kind of music we want to write and we just write the music that we wanna sing every night, and that we feel our fans will connect with.” That might result in an album full of all different styles and influences, but Tyler says the most important thing is that Florida Georgia Line’s music reflects who they are, and he says, “Music’s just our love, our passion and you never know where it’s gonna go, but it’s gonna continue to evolve and that’s what we love about it.”
FGL’s latest single, “Anything Goes,” is in the top ten and continuing to climb toward the top of the chart.

Florida Georgia Line – describe music :54
Tyler Hubbard – “I’d say for us, man, our music is just who we are. It’s a culmination of all of our influences. Growin’ up we actually both had very, very similar tastes in music and very similar influences, and they were kinda all over the map and somethin’ that a lot a people don’t understand, but we listen to everything. So for us, we’re songwriters at heart, we’re songwriters first and foremost and that kind a gives us the creative freedom to write whatever kind of music we want to write and we just write the music that we wanna sing every night, and that we feel our fans will connect with. It’s important to us that our music kinda portrays who we are and where we’re at in life and I feel like, for us, every album is that. Our fans, when they listen to our music and our albums, they know us better. So, that’s kind of our goal. Music’s just our love, our passion and you never know where it’s gonna go, but it’s gonna continue to evolve and that’s what we love about it.”
