It’s official! There’s a release date for Hank Jr.’s new single featuring Eric Church. “Are You Ready For The Country,” (written by Neil Young) will be out November 4. If the date sounds familiar, that’s because it will coincide with his appearance on The CMA Awards show that very day.
The new single is a remake of a song Waylon Jennings once recorded. Hank grew up knowing Waylon and the two were the best of friends. They even wrote and recorded songs together themselves. So for Hank, who records mostly his own music…It’s not just a remake, it’s a song his friend used to sing.
Lots of good surprises on the upcoming album, Bocephus says there’s also a song featuring Brantley Gilbert and Justin Moore.
