If you’ve listened to A Thousand Horses debut album, Southernality, or seen them perform live, then you’ve probably noticed some female voices in their songs and female background singers on stage with them during their live performances. Michael Hobby explains that when they started recording their debut album, “We had the girls for a little bit at that point and they always sang on demos we did or the recordings we did before we made our album. So, it was obviously a no-brainer when we went in to make the record, to have them come in and sing on the whole album. We travel with them out on the road and we love having them as a part of our show and making that big sound, and they’re incredible. So, the girls, yeah, they crush it.”
You can hear more of the girls on Southernality, featuring A Thousand Horses’ latest single, “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial,” which is available now.
