(AUDIO) Hank Jr. Knows That Music Has Value

If you’ve seen Hank Jr. lately, you may have seen him wearing a black and white wrist band, acknowledging his support of the Music Has Value campaign. It’s an effort to bring attention to some of the recent streaming services and other music programs that don’t seem to compensate artists and music industry fairly.

Several artists have spoken out about it, and you know Hank’s not one to hold back on something he believes in.
Bocephus sold millions of records long before the idea of online streaming came along and has plenty of Platinum and Gold records to show for it. And as he points out, that feat is more difficult these days, especially for the newer artists.

Hank – unfortunately music is stolen :16
“Unfortunately in the last decade or so, music is stolen. My father’s music is stolen. Bocephus’ music is stolen. Nobody pays for anything. Double, triple, platinum days are over. And I feel sorry for the young acts, because they’re never gonna make what I made.”
