From the beginning of the video for “Ain’t No Trucks in Texas,” the scene is set, and you know Ronnie Dunn is somewhere in a small town in Texas, but wait…he’s not! Ronnie reveals where the video was shot, “We were somewhere in Nashville, Tennessee at a strip mall. We’re in a good spot. You get the right guys and the right people and it’ll look right.”
How’s this for irony? Ronnie says that nearly 15 years ago, the director, Peter Zavadil was an extra in Brooks & Dunn’s first video, “Brand New Man.” And another interesting tid bit…The Beauty shop in the video may look like it’s out in the desert, but it’s actually just off of one of Music City’s busiest roads and only about 5 minutes from a view of the skyline.
