Florida Georgia Line is nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year at this year’s CMA Awards, and they say they definitely experience nerves from time to time during awards shows. Tyler Hubbard admits, “Definitely get a little butterfly or two flyin’ around in there when they’re announcin’ the nominees and you’re just kinda sittin’ there waitin’ to see if you won or not, but it’s a cool feelin’. It’s fun. A little shot of adrenaline never hurt anybody.”
Brian Kelley says one thing that actually makes him the most nervous about awards shows is not performing, but having to present an award or read the teleprompter. He explains, “We perform every night, we play shows all the time and … We don’t read that much these days. No, I’m just kidding, but when it’s moving that fast, you’ve gotta keep up.”
Chances are, if Florida Georgia Line gets lost or tripped up while reading the teleprompter, they’ll just follow the motto of their latest single, “Anything Goes.” The 49th Annual CMA Awards will air live from Nashville on Wednesday, November 4th, at 8pm/7pm CT on ABC.

Florida Georgia Line is enjoying some time off at home in Nashville before joining Dierks Bentley at his Miles and Music benefit on Sunday (11/1) in Nashville and the CMA Awards next week (11/4). They are also getting ready for their 2nd Annual FGL “This Is How We Cruise” on Norwegian which sets sail on November 7.
