A Thousand Horses toured with Darius Rucker over the summer on the first leg of his Southern Style Tour, and things went so well that they’re back on the road with Darius this fall for the second leg of the tour. Lead singer Michael Hobby says, “The reaction’s been great, to be out on the Darius Rucker tour. It’s been an awesome tour and Darius is amazing. I mean, he’s a legend when it comes to music, so it’s cool to watch him every night and learn something and see his show.”
Some people might wonder how Darius’ fans are reacting to A Thousand’s Horses music, since they have a bit more of a southern rock style of country, but Michael says, “We haven’t really noticed anything of like a, ‘we rock too hard for their crowd.’ Everybody’s been pretty accepting. The crowds have been amazing.”
He also says the crowds have been reacting well to their latest single, “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial,” off their debut album, Southernality.
