Lennon & Maisy Stella, who play Maddie & Daphne Conrad on ABC’s Nashville, have grown up around music all their lives. Their parents make up the country music duo The Stellas, and Lennon & Maisy have been singing together since they were young girls. Neither one of them had any acting experience before landing their roles on Nashville, but Lennon says, “It’s beyond ideal. It’s like the perfect way to make it happen. We’ve never done anything acting before this, so this is very much our first thing, but musically, we’ve always been into it, so the fact that it gets combined into one thing, it’s awesome. It’s perfect, and everyone on the show is so talented, both musically and in the acting world. So, learning from them and being a part of both of it and just having it be associated together is so cool and just is absolutely awesome.”
Big Machine just released a new LP called The Nashville Cast Featuring Lennon & Maisy Stella as Maddie & Daphne Conrad. The collection features the sisters on 11 songs, some of which they’ve performed together on Nashville.
Nashville is currently on their winter hiatus, but will return with new episodes in early 2016 on Wednesday nights at 10p/9p CT on ABC.
