Reba and Brooks & Dunn are back in Las Vegas for 2 weeks of their residency. Even with all the excitement of playing Caesars Palace, it’s a slower pace for someone who is used to touring with 21 trucks and stopping in 4 cities a week. Reba says, “I just walk out of my room, go down the elevator, go onto the stage, ready to go.”
Her first shows in Vegas were in 1982, and she recalls how she spent more money on stage clothes than she had. She hired a fashion designer, who’s now known for such shows as Major Crimes, Rizzoli & Isles, and The Closer.
And where are all those flashy costumes now?

Reba – recalls first Vegas shows :21
“Oh, they’re around somewhere, good Lord knows I don’t throw anything away, but yeah, I went out big time. I had Greg LaVoi, he was from Colorado at the time make all my outfits for Vegas when I went in there the first time. I had and Spandex pants and sequenced tops to match. I had red and blue and black and I had boots to match. When I couldn’t afford it, I went out on a limb with that, because that was Vegas.”
