Charles Esten, who plays Deacon Clayborne on ABC’s Nashville, knows that the show has helped shine a spotlight on the city, which has put him and some of his cast mates in the position of being adopted ambassadors for the city. Charles says, “I think we’re only ambassadors of Music City as much as the show has put us in that role, and it definitely has. Before I was part of Nashville the city, I was a part of Nashville the show, and those two lines have become very, very blurred. We’ve been embraced, and we embrace this town fully.”
The Music of Nashville: Original Soundtrack Season 4, Volume 1, was just released on December 4th, featuring Charles Esten’s single, “Like New.” Nashville is currently on its winter hiatus, but will return with new episodes in early 2016 on Wednesday nights at 10p/9p CT on ABC.
