With a new Hank Williams Jr. album out this week, (Friday-15th) fans have a lot to look forward to. The album is a mixture of recently written songs and a few you may already know, including a new version of “Born To Boogie.” Brantley Gilbert and Justin Moore were invited to add their vocals to the legendary hit. For perspective on the span of the Icon’s career…”Born To Boogie,” was originally released in 1987 and became his 78th single.
And if you’re wondering if you’ll hear all the new songs in his live shows, Bocephus says, “Maybe or maybe not. Born to Boogie for sure, but I’ve got a lot of songs that they know and you can’t do ’em all.”
To him, it’s more about playing something that fits…and sometimes even his band is surprised…

Hank Jr. – it’s about our live show :19
“The band looked around at me and said, “Hot Blooded?” And I went (hums) and we spanked ’em hard baby in New Orleans! I guess in my world, it’s not about my latest single, it’s about our live show.”
