A Thousand Horses brings their own unique sound to country music, which some might classify as country with a touch of Southern Rock, but the guys say it’s really just a culmination of all of their influences. Lead singer Michael Hobby says, “There’s four of us so our influences kind a range a lot. I’m a big (Black) Crowes, Tom Petty fan. Zach’s a huge Rolling Stones fan. Bill comes from like a Beatles to Oasis background. Graham, I remember when I met Graham he listened to a lot of punk music. He was an alt-rocker kid.”
You can hear some of those influences in A Thousand Horses’ latest single, “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial,” and on their debut album, Southernality.
