(AUDIO) Hank Jr. Had No Intention Of Remaking ‘Born To Boogie’

Hank Jr.’s new album, It’s About Time, is full of new songs as well as some songs that have been around for years. And that includes a new version of “Born To Boogie,” a #1 Gold single for Hank in 1987.

Even though fans are lovin’ the re-make, which includes the vocals of Justin Moore and Brantley Gilbert, it wasn’t Hank’s idea.

He was glad Justin and Brantley wanted to be a part of his new album, but originally Bocephus had no intention of re-recording it…

Hank Jr. – Born To Boogie
“I said, why the hell we doing ‘Born To Boogie?’ I got brand new, really good stuff. I could care less about doing ‘Born To Boogie.’ Now, that’s my input, ya know, because I was so motivated and they said oh, it’ll be great. And it is great with them on there. And it’s not one I would, but it’s an honor to have them sing on it.”
