(AUDIO) Justin Moore Explains Why He’s No Longer A Cowboys Fan

Arkansas native Justin Moore is a die-hard Razorbacks fan when it comes to college football, and he used to be a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, but he explains why that changed. Justin says, “As a child, I was a huge Cowboys fan with Aikman and Emmitt Smith and Irvin, and all those guys were there. And I don’t know why this bothered me so much as a child, but when Jimmy Johnson got fired, I was just so angry that I said I would never root for them again, and I don’t know why that is. I don’t know why that bothered me as a child. I just like Jimmy Johnson.”

As Justin got older he also began to realize the traditions of the Razorbacks, and the fact that they used to be in the old-school Southwest conference, with Texas as their big rival. Justin says at that point, as a die-hard Razorbacks fan, with all due respect to his Texas fans, “(I) just decided I’m not gonna root for anything from Texas ever again.”

Sports loyalties aside, he hopes all of his fans love his new single, “You Look Like I Need A Drink,” which will be featured on his forthcoming album.

Obviously Texas was their big rival and just decided I’m not gonna root for anything from Texas ever again.”
