(AUDIO) Justin Moore Admits He’s Not A Physical Fitness Freak On the Road

A lot of country stars make eating healthy and getting regular workouts in when they’re on the road a priority, but Justin Moore says that’s not really his thing. “I wish that I was one of those guys that worked out religiously,” he says. “I’m terrible. I think I did so much of it through sports in high school that I just absolutely hated it when I got out. I’ll get on a kick where I work out for two months and then I won’t work out for a year, so I’m pretty terrible about that aspect of the road.”

Justin knows working out would be good for him, but he admits, “I tell my wife I’m in terrible shape but as long as I look like I’m in alright shape then I’m probably not gonna do anything about it. I like to drink beer, I like chicken fried steak and I can eat gravy on anything.” He says, “Everything in moderation is okay just as long as you don’t get out of control you’re pretty much alright out on the road.”

Perhaps Brantley Gilbert, who is big into lifting weights, will convince Justin to join him in the gym when they’re out on the road this summer on the Take It Outside Summer Tour, which kicks off on June 2nd. In the meantime, Justin is working on his next album, which he hopes to release later this year, featuring his latest single, “You Look Like I Need a Drink.”

I wish I was more disciplined and had the drive to do that, but I tell my wife I’m in terrible shape but as long as I look like I’m in alright shape then I’m probably not gonna do anything about it. I like to drink beer, I like chicken fried steak and I can eat gravy on anything. But you just kind of have to watch it. Everything in moderation is okay just as long as you don’t get out of control you’re pretty much alright out on the road.”
