It’s official, Martina McBride has released a new single. She’s been singing it in concert and says, “We’ve played it 3 times, and every time – it’s gotten applause after the first chorus, and a standing ovation. And those are really great signs!”
She’s in the middle of making the album which comes out April 29, and has listened to a lot of songs, but says she knew she wanted to record “Reckless” when she first heard it. For one thing, Martina can see herself in the song. It takes her to a time when she and her husband John first met…

Martina – Reckless and jumping in with both feet :25
“When I first met my husband John, I was 20 years old and had been sort of a rebellious teenager, I was singing in clubs 5 nights a week until 3 in the morning and it just wasn’t the best culture to be in at that time. So, it’s really about being grateful for unconditional love and someone seeing you for who you really are and being reckless enough to jump in with both feet.”
More Martina Notes
