Jennifer Nettles is preparing to release her new album, Playing with Fire, on May 13th. When she thinks about how she has evolved as an artist since her last project, she feels like her creativity has kind of exploded. Jennifer says, “I’m feeling a little bit, how can I put it, electric and really fired up and I feel like all of this sort of pent up, stored up energy and creativity that was being held while I was being a mother with such concentration, because it does require that all the time, but especially in those first couple of years. It’s almost…I would call it volcanic in the way that I’m feeling it right now. So, I’m feelin’ a little big sassy and a little bit rebellious and I’m enjoying having an outlet.”

Jennifer’s new album will release her latest single, “Unlove You,” a song she co-wrote with Brandy Clark.

• Jennifer Nettles played at the Kris Kristofferson tribute concert in Nashville last week. Her next tour date is April 8.
• Her new single is called “Unlove You.” She recently premiered the video for the song at CMT.
