When you hear Justin Moore’s music and his voice, there’s no denying that he is country to the core, but he’s proud of that, and proud of the fact that he’s always been able to be true to who he is. He says, “My record label, I have to credit them. They’ve always kind of stood behind me and said, whatever you wanna go do, do it, you know, within reason. But, I’ve never shied away from being who I am.”
Justin realizes not everybody will agree with what he says or what he sings about all the time, but he says, “That’s the greatest thing about this country is that we can all, in theory, we should all be able to disagree on things and still get along. Have a beer together. Doesn’t always happen, in particular in an election year like we’re in right now. There’s a lot of mud slingin’, obviously, but I’ve never shied away from who I am because I can’t fake it all the time. You’re gonna slip up and this is who I am, like it or hate it this is who I am and who I’m proud to be.”
You can hear Justin being true to who he is in his new single, “You Look Like I Need A Drink,” off his forthcoming album from The Valory Music Co.
