(AUDIO) Tucker Beathard Inspired By His Dad’s Songwriting

Tucker Beathard’s dad is super successful songwriter Casey Beathard, who has written songs like “Homeboy,” “Like Jesus Does” and “Like a Wrecking Ball” for Eric Church, “Come Back Song” for Darius Rucker, Kenny Chesney’s “Don’t Blink” and “Boys of Summer,” and dozens of others. While Tucker grew up with a wide variety of musical influences from rock to punk to country, he says, “I’ve always looked up to the way my dad told stories through his songs and pictures and what not. So, when I got into songwriting I just naturally wrote, in a sense, kind a like how he wrote.”

You can hear that storyteller aspect of Tucker’s songwriting in his debut single, “Rock On.”
