Tim McGraw’s latest single, “Humble and Kind,” is a song that encourages virtues that are sometimes overlooked in today’s society, and when Tim first heard it he knew it was a song he wanted to record. “It’s a song that I’ve loved for a while,” says Tim. “Lori McKenna wrote it, who’s one of my favorite songwriters in the world, and probably a year and a half ago she sent me, through email, just her and her acoustic guitar playin’ the song and I fell in love with it instantly and it’s such a great message.”
The song especially hit home with Tim when he thought of his three daughters, Gracie, Maggie and Audrey. When he first heard the song he says, “I had one daughter that was graduating at the time, I have a daughter graduating now, and another daughter going into high school and when you look at the world and look at how everything’s goin’ on in the world I think it’s just a message that needed to be heard.”
Humble and Kind is featured on Tim’s latest album, Damn Country Music.
