(AUDIO) NASHVILLE Cast’s Personal Music Inspired By the City of Nashville

Many of the cast members of Nashville are pursuing their own musical careers outside of the show, and while their musical styles range from alt-country to blues to Americana, they say living and working in the city of Nashville has had a definite impact on their music. Aubrey Peeples, who plays Layla Grant on the show, says, “We’re kind of learning from the best. We get to sings songs written by some of the best songwriters in town and in the country, and we’re working with incredible musicians and music producers. So, I mean, I think all of that of course impacts your music.”

Audrey even credits her time in Nashville with helping her discover her musical voice. She says, “I know for me personally I really didn’t, as cheesy as it sounds, I didn’t find my voice, or whatever, until I kind of got to Nashville and started learning about all the different music that was coming out of the city and the history of country music, and music in general. I know that it’s contributed everything to what I write.”

The Music of Nashville Original Soundtrack, Volume 2, Season 4 was just released last week.
