ABC’s Nashville just aired the series finale of the show last Wednesday, but the cast and fans are hoping the show will find new life on another network because there is so much more story to tell for all of the characters. When the show ended, it wasn’t happily ever after for everyone because as Chris Carmack, who plays Will Lexington, explains, “Happily ever after, it just doesn’t happen in nighttime drama. I mean, you can be happy for fifteen minutes, but somethin’s gonna go wrong. Of course you want the best for them, but if everything works out there’s no more story to tell. I want Will to win the Powerball and open up a country club in Ibiza, but…”
Chris’ castmates on Nashville all joked that he should pitch that story line to the writers. But for now, they are encouraging fans to have their voice heard that they want Nashville to stay on TV, by posting on social media using the hashtag #BringBackNashville.
