Cassadee Pope co-wrote three of the four songs on her new Summer EP, including the title track, which is her latest single, but she’s definitely open to recording songs that she didn’t write. When she’s considering songs she didn’t write, Cassadee says, “I listen to them with a lot of things in mind. I definitely want to think, ‘okay, is this something that I would say?’ It definitely needs to be catchy and make me want to hear it again.”
The one song Cassadee didn’t have a hand in writing on her new Summer EP is “Kisses in Airports.” It’s a powerful and emotional song, and it’s not hard to hear why she chose it.
