When Thomas Rhett was younger, he admits that he was definitely a little mischievous and a little reckless on the 4th of July. He says, “We used to have bottle rocket wars in our backyard and we would all get in tree houses and shoot bottle rockets at tree houses, which, looking back, we could all be blind by now with all the bottle rockets we shot at each other.”

Fortunately for Thomas, he was able to stock up on fireworks somewhat affordably because he says, “I never really worked the firework tent, but a lot of my buddies used to work firework tents so I’d always go get discounts on fireworks and shoot them all.”

This year Thomas will be off on the 4th of July, with a break from the Six String Circus Tour with Jason Aldean. Chances are, his new single, “Vacation,” will be cranked up at a lot of lakes and pools and 4th of July celebrations.
