Drake White is still building his career and growing his stardom, but he doesn’t believe he has to wait until he is a megastar to use his platform and his blessings to give back. Drake says, “Why should you wait to go help somebody out? Why should I wait ‘til I’m a mega-star or a super duper star, whatever. Like, you could start now and people could tell theirselves their whole life, I’ll do it tomorrow, I’ll do it tomorrow. So, I just had this kinda, come to Jesus moment where it was just like, go out and help right now. Use your talents, use your hands.”
Drake was presented with a great opportunity to partner with Ford for the Livin’ the Dream Through Givin’ the Dream” promotion, inspired by his latest single. Through the program, he is getting to go into different communities and help wonderful charitable and philanthropic organizations with the help of Ford and he’s grateful for the opportunity because he tells himself, “’You’re in all these great cities, you got this great song, use your pedestal for good and spread the good, and that’s what I’m gonna do with all this music.’ That’s why I had that responsibility laid on my back and it really is the most important thing to me. Music kinda comes secondary to that and not many things come before music, but helpin’ people’s definitely somethin’ I’m passionate about and somethin’ that I’m glad to be doin’. Livin’ the dream through givin’ the dream.”

“What are we doing? Why are we doing this? I always ask myself that and I always ask myself, ‘Why not me?’ So, what I mean by that is why should you wait to go help somebody out?
