The Eli Young Band has been doing a lot of traveling lately promoting their latest single, “Saltwater Gospel.” On one trip this summer, they posted pictures on their social media of some personalized Southwest peanuts and said, “Shoutout to @southwestair for the personalized nuts! #giggity #notphotoshopped.” It turns out the custom peanuts were actually thanks to PhotoShop. Mike Eli says, “That was just a joke. We edited that just joking around, but if anyone from Southwest Airlines is listening to this, feel free to give us our own personalized peanuts.”
Eli Young Band is from Texas, so Jon Jones chimed in, “I mean let’s keep it local, Dallas… Or Fort Worth… Or hell, Houston, come on!”
So if any Texas businesses want to hook up a hometown band, Eli Young Band is definitely open to ideas.
