(AUDIO) DRAKE WHITE SAYS GAME OF THRONES IS GOOD FOR RELATIONSHIPS

Drake White is just like the rest of us in that he gets sucked into great television shows and binge watches them either out on the road or at home with his wife.  Recently, Drake shares, “Somehow the dog hits the remote, and the TV pops on HBO On-Demand. I didn’t even know we had HBO On-Demand. I looked at my wife and was like, ‘Wait a minute, we have HBO On-Demand?’ She was like, ‘I guess so. I guess we do.’ Well, I’m clicking down through there and I get to Game of Thrones and I mean you’ve heard all of this pop culture stuff about it. It just went nuts.”

Drake says that was pretty much the start of an epic binge watching marathon with his wife.  He says, “Every night when we got home, and I agreed reluctantly, to not watch it without my wife. So every time I get home, I’d cook popcorn on the stove like in this Whirley Pop. Like the real popcorn with seeds, and you put the butter in there, and turn it, and do it on the stove. It’s awesome. And we’d watch Game of Thrones. So sometimes we would do like three episodes. They’re about an hour a piece and 3-4 episodes.”

Not only does Drake love Game of Thrones because he thinks it’s great television, but he also thinks it’s great for his and other relationships.  He says, I love that when you have a show like that as a couple, it’s so good for the relationship cause you’re like talking about it. And it’s not like you’re talking about a serious thing, but you’re building something. You’re interested in the same thing. So we start talking about it, and of course, we’ve watched every one of them now. Game of Thrones is the best TV I’ve ever seen.”

Drake just wrapped up the Zac Brown Band Black Out the Sun Tour.  Next up, he’ll be hitting the road and promoting his latest single, “Livin’ the Dream” and his new album, Spark, on the second leg of the Dierks Bentley Somewhere on a Beach Tour beginning October 13th.

Drake White – binge watching 1:20

“About 3 or 4 months ago, we’re messing around upstairs, and somehow the dog hits the remote, and the TV pops on HBO On-Demand. It just went nuts. This was three months ago. So I start with Episode 1 three months ago. Every night when we got home, and I agreed reluctantly, to not watch it without my wife. They’re about an hour a piece and 3-4 episodes. Alex loves stuff like that. I love that when you have a show like that as a couple, it’s so good for the relationship cause you’re like talking about it. And it’s not like you’re talking about a serious thing, but you’re building something. You’re interested in the same thing. So we start talking about it, and of course, we’ve watched every one of them now. Game of Thrones is the best TV I’ve ever seen.”
